The DivorceCare kit comes with everything needed to host a group: 13 videos with insights from divorce-recovery experts and personal stories, a leader’s guide with weekly session agendas, participant workbooks, and access to online resources and promo materials. Learn more about our group kits.

DivorceCare ministry coaches

Free personalized coaching

DivorceCare offers free ministry coaching for our partner churches. This makes our program easy to offer, since church leaders don’t have to be deeply involved in coordinating the ministry. Instead, our full-time, experienced ministry coaches are here to ensure your ministry success every step of the way. Talk with a coach about starting DivorceCare at your church.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to partner with DivorceCare?

A  To host a group, churches need to purchase an initial DivorceCare kit, plus a workbook for everyone who attends your DivorceCare group. (To offset costs, you can choose to have group participants purchase their own workbooks when they register for your group online through our website.) We also provide optional, supplementary materials that are helpful for leaders and participants. See our store for prices.

Q  Can my volunteers lead DivorceCare if they’ve never facilitated a support group before?

A  Yes! DivorceCare support groups are designed to be lay-led. When you purchase a kit, it comes with everything your volunteers need to facilitate a group (including access to online training and a leader’s guide with detailed session agendas).

Q  What kind of support will my volunteers receive from the ministry coaches?

A  When you become a DivorceCare partner, your volunteers will receive unlimited access to our skilled ministry coaches. This expert team is here to answer questions and give advice to ensure your volunteers feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Q  How long does it take to get started?

A  DivorceCare is a turnkey program. Once you have a kit, your lay volunteers will have the tools they need to start hosting a 13-week, video- and discussion-based support group as soon as desired.

Are there other care ministries like DivorceCare that I can provide for my congregation?

A  Yes! GriefShare also has a 13-week, Christ-centered recovery program for people hurting from deep pain after the death of a loved one. GriefShare also has shorter, one-day programs: Loss of a Spouse and Surviving the Holidays.

What resources are available to all churches?

A  For churches that do not qualify as DivorceCare partners, we provide several useful materials such as books and devotionals regardless of partnership status. Learn more.
